Rain is my happy thought.

I love weather and seasons. I love when a season begins every year and I love when it ends. And next week, it’s RAINING. As in, not snow. Hello, Spring, I’ll be seeing you soon!

Snow days are my happy thought!

We made it to the other side of the 19 inches of snow, and it’s beautiful out.

Love.

Snow is my happy thought

Going from 80 degrees to 20 degrees is a lot better when you look out your window and see snow. There is nothing so magical. Love.

Having the long-term use of my hands is my happy thought

It’s a long story, but I will be writing my 10 page final paper with the use of only nine of my digits (no worries, my right ring finger will be ok in a few days!) and I have never been so grateful for (normally) having all ten of my fingers than I am now. Eventually I’ll be writing 20 or 30 or 100 pages and it will make things a lot easier to have the finger that I use to hit the delete and the major punctuation mark keys functioning.

Magical winter moments are my happy thought

So today I went ice skating with one of the kids I babysit and we had a blast going round and round and pulling each other along and almost falling but then we wouldn’t and then and then almost at the end it started to snow just a little bit and the lights of the city were coming on and we had just warmed up with some hot chocolate and we were laughing our heads off and then there was snow. Lovely.

The smell of christmas trees is my happy thought

Because the bestbestbest thing about Christmas time is the multitude of christmas trees being sold on the side of the street on my walk to school, permeating the air with that wonderful, fresh smell that is completely Christmas.
